Habanero`s Mexican Grill in Birmingham

Seriously I'm not sure how this has four and a half stars??? I took my granddaughter here and it was so dark and without my glasses I couldn't even see to read the menu so I just told them what I wanted. I had a chicken burrito with red sauce nothing else with it but sour cream and my granddaughter had just chicken wrapped in a burrito nothing else with rice and with a five dollar tip my total was $30 I could have went to Taco Bell and had better food. The chicken tasted old with that fowl chicken tasted. My husband loves Mexican food but he wouldn't even eat what I took home after tasting it!!! Just terrible

Decent food and margaritas for the price. We were there about an hour before close and had a sense that we were being rushed out, but the actual face to face customer service was good. I've had better, but definitely acceptable and I'll be back when I don't want to break the bank on Mexican food and a few margaritas.

Food was good but the chimichanga was way smaller than Munoz but around same price!

Food is good and service is quick. The drinks could be better but they are adequate. Since moving from Atlanta we have not found a Mexican restaurant we love yet but this is better than most we have visited.

All i can say is wow! This place was so fast at bring our food to the table! And the food was amazing! Next time we are in the are we will go back for sure!

Habaneros Mexican Grill offers a great atmosphere and great food at a reasonable price. The staff here are very friendly and the service is great. I absolutely love the salsa and queso dip here!

Pretty solid Mexican food, especially for Alabama. This place is in a fairly nice location, with plenty of shopping around. They have free chips and salsa, or course, and pretty good margaritas . They have all the typically Mexican food staples, but that's pretty much it. Would go again.

I love this place! I've tried all of the other Habaneros restaurants but this one is the best, hands down. I drive all the way from Shelby county just to come to the Trussville location restaurant. The Manager is always there making sure the food is prepared and served in perfection. My favorite is the Texan Fajita and the Beef Nacho Supreme.

The food was ok. They didn't give enough of steak in the steak fajita, it was more onions and bellpeppers. Service was fast, but overall it was not a bad experience just not what I expect. I normally visit Hoover location and food & service are top notch.

I hate leaving bad reviews, but this was truly my worst experience at a restaurant. I ordered chicken fajitas. The chicken was so burned it tasted like charcoal. It was dry and hard. I didn't want to complain but my fiance took it up to the counter because it was not edible. The lady did offer to fix another. I took it to go. When I got home all that was in the box was chicken and tortillas, nothing else. It was not burned but it still was not good. My fiance didn't like his food either. He ordered shrimp, steak, and chicken nachos. A waste of $33. The only thing good I can rate them is on the spinach dip.

Everything was good and freshly made. Food was ready when we arrived.

Place is okay. I have been coming to here since I was a young girl and was my go to place as a teenager. The restaurant has just gone down hill in the last year, CHIPS ARE STALE every time. This place use to deserve 5 stars but have come back to give it one more try but it’s just not worth it anymore. They can be very pushy at times, and also stare at you and whisper so you clearly know they are talking about you. Food is just not as good as it use to be, nor is it as good as other Mexican restaurants in trussville.

They were quick, all the orders were right even the substitutions. Food was hot the only thing that was bad was the queso it was chunky and cold but everything else was amazing 9/10

Warm, festive, friendly servers. Incredibly fast service & fresh, delicious authentic meals. Shrimp taco salad is my favorite...next is the shrimp fajitas meal.

I used to love this place until a long hair came out of my husband's food on the first bite and had the audacity to come back and say it was mine! They said we could come in the kitchen and look at it under the light. How about we just won't eat there anymore. Just lost a loyal customer of 6 years! Good job.

The service was great. Being from Cali, it was hard to find an authentic tasting Mexican food place but this place is it for me. Home made tortillas, chips, and salsa. I left stuffed. I had the beef enchiladas and my husband had the grilled chicken breast.
